Charity Christmas Bazaar in Barril de Alva

Charity Christmas Bazaar, on Saturday 5 December from 12 o’clock noon till dark,

(to raise money for good causes) held at our Quinta Santo Antonio in Barril de Alva, just beyond the Church,

We have invited John MacAdam of Ervital Organic Aromatic Herbs www.ervital.pt   in Castro Daire to give us a talk and presentation. He will bring plants and dried produce, beautifully packed for Christmas. Lisa will bring her Alpacas (www.montefrioalpacas.com) and demonstrate the spinning of wool and tour the garden with the animals. There will be many stalls, much food and drink, a Raffle draw and gentle live music and carol singing. Garden paths will be marked and children will be invited on a treasure hunt.

Do come and support this good and fun event ! Last year’s donations to a 10 year old girl for her extra support in maths and her school books, three students’ from Oliveira, Covilha and Arganil, Casal d’Abade’s “Sons da Serra” Band, Lighting for the Ponte Café and professional signs to indicate names of aromatic herbs at the convent herb gardens of São João de Tarouca, were all received gratefully !!!
